A compound that binds to iron and allows it to dissolve and be cleared away, helping to reduce the appearance of dark undereye circles.

Brightening

One of the main causes of dark undereye circles is the buildup of pigmented byproducts of red blood cells, such as iron. This brick-red pigment can accumulate in the highly vascular area under the eyes, and the skin is so thin that the color shows through. N-hydroxysuccinimide has been shown to bind to iron stuck under the stick, allowing it to dissolve and be cleared away, thus reducing the appearance of dark undereye circles.
