Why we use it
Palmitoyl Heptapeptide-27 is a signaling peptide that tells keratinocytes to create more filaggrin and loricrin. These two proteins are vital in ensuring a skin cell’s healthy life cycle, developing from a baby cell to a keratinized structure in the moisture barrier. When combined with Palmitoyl Oligopeptide-78, one study showed that after 28 days of daily use, epidermal thickness increased by 10% and transepidermal water loss (TEWL) decreased by 9%.
