Why we use it
Sodium cocoamphodiacetate is a surfactant, meaning that one side of the molecule binds with water-based ingredients, and the other side binds with oil-based ingredients. They’re used to hold together two ingredients or phases that normally wouldn’t combine. We use SC to help evenly disperse oil-based retinol in a water-based cream.
